The FOSDEM CFP for stands is up. We haven’t been accepted recently, but it would be nice to get a stand this year. Can anyone take the lead for this effort?
@pbarker? (and your other 13 best friend letters so the post is allowed)
I can submit the proposal and post a message asking for volunteers. I can also help setup the stand on Saturday morning but I’m not able to commit to running the stand for the rest of the weekend.
I could also talk to Walt about sharing the stand with AGL again, perhaps Saturday for OE and Sunday for AGL.
FYI applications close on Nov 9th.
Can you talk to Walt? I would submit as Openembedded and Automotive Grade Linux, we we are both on the website and split days depending on the embedded devroom schedule.
Walt emailed me, I replied and cc’d you I hope. If you don’t see the email, send me your preferred email address.
Thanks! I got the email and sent a quick reply, I’ll be able to follow up in a bit more detail next week when I’m back at the (home) office.
@Crofton I’m aiming to get the stand application in next week. I think we’ll just have to trust that we’ll be able to get volunteers to handle things if I can’t stick around all day.
I will twist arms and help make sure people see talks they need to see. And ran into the 20 character limit again ![]()
As usual, if we get accepted I’m happy to serve as booth duty dude. It has always worked out well as a gathering point.
The stand proposal has been submitted, we should hear back on Nov 16th ![]()
Thanks @pbarker (remaining characters have been eaten by a grue)
Any word on the stand? Looks like people have been notified.
Unfortunately we weren’t successful.
We are sorry to tell you that we cannot accept your proposal “OpenEmbedded & AGL” as a FOSDEM stand. There were a lot of good proposals (212), and only a limited number of stands.
Thanks for trying Paul. Should we ask for a BoF session when we can sign up?
@Crofton absolutely!
